A friend and I have lately been discussing why people act the way that we do.
It is one of those things that you could discuss without end, and never touch on all there is to say about such a subject. The basic conclusion that I have come to is that we are a reactionary species, humans.
We are aloof and disinterested most times and are unwilling to admit that many times we ignore important things because they take work to sustain.
We only react when we are told or shown that something is amiss and then we do so in surprise.
Maybe it is true that when we meet someone, we are on our party manners. Once time has gone by and we grow comfortable with each other, we start to lower the shield and the gloves come off. We forget our manners and start taking one another for granted.
